Sperry Techwave Collection Launch Campaign
Role: Lead Designer, Photo/video shoot pre-production
Sperry is an iconic American brand best known for creating the first boat shoe. As the brand stepped beyond the coast and into the functional footwear space, our team helped establish Techwave, a platform to introduce Sperry’s innovative technologies and product lines.
My work on the Sperry Techwave brand began with the brief to launch three tiers of weather-resistant footwear: Rainwave (water resistant), Stormwave (waterproof), and Icewave (snow boots). The project followed my colleagues’ development of the Techwave platform with Plushwave cushioning technology, presenting a new challenge: to evolve the system into a fashion-forward, weather-ready visual story.
I led the design of the Rainwave, Stormwave, and Icewave icon systems and defined how each would come to life through photography art direction and multi-channel applications across retail and digital. I also provided pre-production support, including photo compositions, prop direction, and shot lists that guided our creative director and Sperry’s photography team during production.
